About the event
This hands-on class will teach guests how to harvest seeds from a fresh floral arrangement and turn what would normally be tossed, into a lasting garden. You will begin with a walk through the flower field, where you’ll hand-pick two bouquets: one full of vibrant, fresh blooms to take home and enjoy, and another of “deadhead” flowers that are ready to give up their seeds. You’ll learn the basics of seed harvesting—how to identify, collect, label, and store seeds—and take home your very own collection. In Part 2, the following week, bring back your spent bouquet and seeds to learn how to plant them in soil blocks for healthier and faster growing flowers! You do not need to take both classes in order to participate. Ages 16+. Book BOTH classes and receive 50% off one u-pick jar.
